Clean Up Hike, Schwaz

Clean Up Hike, Schwaz

25 July 2026

Angels in the woods.

Five kilometers. One and a half hours. Schwaz trails, heading toward the castle, a playground tucked into the trees.

That's 8.7 kg of trash we pulled from the places we hiked through.

We started at Slow Lab at 10. The morning was warm. We hiked the trails, we laughed — real laughs, not forced ones. We picked things up. Broken bottles, plastic caught in branches, the stuff nobody wants to see when they're out moving.

Then a woman found us at the playground. She stopped what she was doing and just watched us for a moment.

She said: You should be more seen. What you're doing — you're angels. And you're doing this in your free time.

That sentence stayed with us. Not because we need the validation. Because it reminded us why this matters. Most people walk past a playground with trash in it. They don't see it. Or they see it and think someone else will deal with it. But we stopped. We saw it. We did something about it.

That's the whole thing, isn't it?

We picked up the trash. We talked. We were there together. And then someone noticed, and they said thank you — not just to us, but to the act of showing up when nobody's watching, when nobody's paying, when it's just you and a bag and a piece of the world that needs care.

Back at Slow Lab, we had fruit, drinks, goodie bags for everyone. Because you show up for each other, and you honor that with something simple and real.

That's Something Like A Club.

We don't do this for recognition. We don't do this for Instagram or for a story to tell. We do it because the places we move through are part of us. And sometimes a woman in the woods reminds us that small acts of care are seen. They matter.

Five kilometers. Eight point four kilos. And one moment that made it all make sense.

See you next time.
